What Is Therapy?​

Therapy is a reflective and relational process. It offers a safe, confidential space to explore your experiences without judgement. Together, we may look at:​

  • Emotional patterns and triggers

  • Past experiences that continue to influence you

  • Anxiety, low mood, or burnout

  • Self-esteem and identity

  • Relationship dynamics

  • Nervous system regulation

  • The impact of ADHD on your emotional world​.

 

Unlike coaching, therapy may involve exploring the past to understand the present. We move at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you.

What Does Therapy Involve?
Every therapeutic journey is unique. However, our work may include:
  • Deep Exploration: Understanding the roots of recurring thoughts, feelings, or behaviours.

  • Emotional Processing: Making space for feelings that may have been avoided, suppressed, or misunderstood.

  • Pattern Awareness: Identifying cycles in relationships, work, or self-talk.

  • Developing Self-Compassion: Shifting from self-criticism to understanding.

  • Regulation & Grounding: Building tools to support your nervous system and emotional stability.

  • Integration: Connecting insight with meaningful change in your daily life.

 

Therapeutic Approach​
As a clinical psychologist, I use an integrative approach. The models I may use to inform our work are:
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
  • Mindfulness.
  • Mentalisation Based Therapy
  • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
  • Narrative Therapy.

What It’s Like to Work With Me​

Our sessions will focus on creating a safe, non-judgemental, and reflective space. I will listen carefully, reflect patterns that I notice and gently guide you into exploring areas that are likely emotional and complex. We will create a space where you can slow down, feel understood and gradually develop deeper self-awareness and resilience.

Some clients choose therapy, some choose ADHD coaching, and some move between the two at different stages.
